After the Summit

Hi,

I'm not leaving 'til Monday night following the summit and thought I
would hire a car and drive around for a couple of days.

What direction should I head?

Are there any historical sites (civil war?) or national parks worth
seeing within a days drive?

Thanks,

Wayne

This one goes up to eleven, (maybe 12?)

It's a fair drive (200 miles), but:

North Carolina:  Asheville, Great Smokies, Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Great Smokey Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway is
beautiful. The foliage around mid-October can be stunning, but I can't
promise that.

If you don't want to go that far, though, there's a lot see in and
around Atlanta itself:

The Georgia Aquarium is really nice.

My wife and I liked going to the historic Fox Theater. They're having
a Tribute to the Beatles during the 4D Summit.

The Coca Cola museum is a popular place, too.

If you are a Civil War buff, I found this:

If you decide to do the Aquarium or the Fox theater, you might want to
get your tickets now. You could spend an entire day at the Aquarium.
