Again: is Mr. Knoda still alive?

Hi folks,
does anybody know anything about Mr. Horst Knorr?
Does he still live? What about the future of KNODA, especially regarding
the KDE 4 Project?
I know, i have asked this questions several months ago, but maybe anyone
has got some helpful information in the meantime...?

Michael

Looking at the CVS of both hk-classes and knoda, it seems that Mr. Knorr is no
longer actively developing both. The last commits are from 8 months ago.

What are the feelings about forming some sort of forum or interest group
to keep the project alive?

great idea, but keeping that project alive would first of all need a
group of skilled programmers...

Is it just a coincidence that the halt of Knoda's development occurs
when Mysql starts again the development of Mysql Workbench?

Bonjour,

I don't think so : anyway, at this moment, no linux wxorkbench is
avalaible, only the window one.

But that doesn't solve the queries about Mr. Horst Knorr...

cordialement,

PS : a patch has been published here  for compiling knoda with the
latest version of gcc ; unfortunately, I don't know what file is to be
patched nor how to do...if someone...

IIRC it was my patch :)

This patch just fixes some includes that gcc 4.3.0 is missing. It simply
does "#include <string.h>" in the following files to make gcc compile
hk_classes:

hk_actionquery.cpp
hk_button.cpp
hk_column.cpp
hk_datasource.cpp
hk_dsimage.cpp
hk_reportsection.cpp
hk_storagedatasource.cpp
hk_mysqlcolumn.cpp
hk_mysqldatasource.cpp
hk_mysqltable.cpp
hk_odbccolumn.cpp
hk_odbcdatasource.cpp
hk_odbctable.cpp
hk_postgresqlcolumn.cpp
hk_postgresqldatasource.cpp
hk_sqlite3column.cpp
hk_sqlite3datasource.cpp
hk_sqlitecolumn.cpp
hk_sqlitedatasource.cpp

Bonjour,

Thank for your answer but I still wonder how to apply this patch ; I
want to migrate to ubuntu 8.04 and I'm almost certain to have to compile
myself knoda (it seems that it's no more present in this distri).... so
I need the way to apply this patch.

If you could explain, it would be great

cordialement,
