Agere 11c11040 chipset modem driver for Ubuntu Karmic (Linux Kernel 2.6.31-14)

Hi all,
I need driver for my AgereSystems 11c11040 chipset modem. I tried to
install dkms-agrsm_2.1.80-9mdv2009.0_i386.deb package from
http://linux.zsolttech.com/linmodem/agrsm/Testing/ but i'm getting
error during installation. Is there any package which works fine on
Ubuntu Karmic?

The code needs updating.  We haven't had a success reported since the
2.627 level kernels

My distro will be releasing a new version on the 12th, with kernel 2.6.31.
I hope to be able to test etc. and report back by the end of that week.
