Airbox

Hello group,

I would like to make my car (Fury R1 2003) a bit more suited for the race track as I'm thinking about entering a dutch racing series and one of the key issues that needs to be addressed is the noise. I would like to start by adding an airbox to the car but I'm unsure as to what is the best way to do this. I currently have a pipercross filter on the car and I'm thinking of building a box around this and covering the inside of that box with sound mats and having a large diameter hose going to the front of the car for fresh air. But I believe that the more common approach is to build the box around it with the filter removed and fit a different filter at the end of the hose.

Looking I'm very much looking for some good advice and any pointers that you may have. Thanks!

Cheers

Maarten
