Airship Surveillance stern thruster

With regard to the post stating that the stern thruster on our R&D unit is a helicopter unit, that is not correct. The system was built in house except for the blades. The use of blades with no twist were included to provide near optimum thrust - I would refer the writer to Hirner's paper presented at the Belfast AIAA conference last year.

I might be wrong, but I'm sure I've seen something recently (on an R/C blimp) where a flat bladed propeller caused excessive drain on the batteries. Have you found the same?
