Alternate names

Hi - I am using GeoSetter for Geocoding my photos and to store
location information in the photos, in addition to the GPS position
code.

GeoSetter is using GeoNames to get information by means of the
following URL:
http://ws.geonames.org/findNearbyPostalCodes?lat=62.433333&lng=7.916667&lang=no

This search provides the following result:
"6310 Veblungsnes NO 62.55 7.6833333 15 Moere og Romsdal 1539 RAUMA
17.659848408580093 6315 Innfjorden NO 62.55 7.6833333 15 Moere og
Romsdal 1539 RAUMA 17.659848408580093 6300 Åndalsnes NO62.5666667 7.7

I would like all of the returned information in local names, e.g.
"Møre og Romsdal", not "Moere og Romsdal".

I understand that there is a possibility to extract this as "Alternate
Names" or "Preferred Names".

How can this be passed as a parameter in the above URL?

Hi

The postal codes database does not have alternate names. This feature is
only available for the main toponym database.
We are working on the integration of the postal codes in the main
database. Then it will be possible to have alternate names also for
postal codes services, but it will take some time till the integration
is finished.
