Based on RIFE/Jumpstart, which is geared towards HTML web sites, we
now released RIFE/Laszlo.
It is a ready-to-run source distribution and file structure that
allows you to get started with a new OpenLaszlo application with RIFE
in less then 2 minutes. Typically, all that you have to do is unzip
the archive, open the project file in you favourite IDE and run the
application. Thanks to RIFE's and Laszlo's dynamic development model,
you rarely have to restart and are able to gradually implement your
application in an iterative manner.
The demo of the basic RIFE/Laszlo application can be seen at http://
rifers.org/laszlo, and more information about how to use it can be
found in the readme.
The supported development environments are:
* Apache Ant 1.6, or
* Omnicore Codeguide 7, or
* X-develop 1.0.1 build 138, or
* IntelliJ IDEA 4.5, or
* NetBeans 4.1, or
* Eclipse 3.x.
The Ant build file also contains a war target which colmpiles the
Laszlo application is compiled in SOLO mode. The proxy server is thus
not be included in the war file. The application is thus a regular
flash file that works completely independently of the OpenLaszlo server.
