Another one to go UTF-8: Greek (?)

Hi all,

I've had many requests and complaints from users of our webmail that
they want to compose in both Latin-1 (French / German accents etc.)
_and_ Greek.

Which means ISO-8859-7 doesn't cut it any more.

So I'm considering switching to UTF-8 like many languages have already
done.

Any comments? I'll do this for -stable anyway, since that's what we are
running at the University. Should I commit it in Squirrelmail
repository?

I'll commit it for both DEVEL and STABLE, but before committing it I'd
like to follow the same process as with the other languages converting,
i.e. mailing out to the list and the previous translators and allow them
the possibility to disagree (not that I think they will though). I'm a bit
busy, but I'll hope I'll be able to clean up the documentation and send
out the call tonight CEST.

Sincerely,
Fredrik

AFAIK I'm the only Greek translator. :-)

(George P. Kremmydas just made the original, first, *big* contribution
and I'm maintaining ever since; I'm also the sole translator of a bunch
of plugins as well).

Scratch that, I see some more plugin translators that are not credited
in TRANSLATORS.

Exactly. That's what I want to clean up.

The clean-up is done. I'll need to branch the translations for 1.4.19
before updating to UTF-8 though. I'll let you know when that's done.

Sincerely,
Fredrik
