Hi All,

has anyone had any experience setting up cf under tomcat and making
apache talk to it?  I have cf serving properly from tomcat but only
under the localhost:8080/cfusion/ path.  Would appreciate any tips.

cheers,
Toby

Hey Toby,

I litertally just did this very thing this week.  What is your current
status of play?

I do feel your pain as the docs are sketchy at best!

You could use Apache as your web server but you may also use tomcat via port
80.

Hi Neil,

I have tomcat5 up and running happily, and coldfusion deployed
within it.  I can browse to localhost:8080/cfusion/whatever.cfm and all
works nicely.

All I want to do now, is be able to put my cfm files in my apache
webroot, and have apache pass off the calls to tomcat invisibly.  IE if
I have an app at /home/toby/work/myapp I can browse to
localhost/myapp/index.cfm

make sense?  I tried a couple of semi-documented ways of doing it but
keep failing miserably.

cheers,
Toby

Well, I feel your pain, I currently have Tomcat and ColdFusion all running
sweet and also have Apache talking to Tomcat (so I can browse JSP pages via
Apache).  I currently do not have Coldfusion pages served via Apache as of
yet.

Do you have tomcat serving on port 80?  And are you still having to put
all your code under /tomcatdir/webapps/cfusion ?

cheers,
Toby
