hah, i get the same problem, i just follow the tutorial and add the px numbers.

You don't want to search for "fixed-width", just "width". I don't know
if it will solve your problem - it may mess up the theme. Regardless,
"width" is usually the css-rule that's used to make something so it's
a specific width.

Doubt Regaring css

I have one doubt regarding some css.
All the css files and even appfuse quick start example project also have some space on right and left sides.
In the middle we can see header, side bar and body.
Why that space in left side and right side left.
If i want to change that full size can i do by changing some values in css files.
I want to have this http://css.appfuse.org/themes/andreas03/
like this http://css.appfuse.org/themes/andreas09/index.html.
Actually i dont have pretty idea on css files rules of xhtml and css.
Can any body tell me which one is good having space on both sides or with out space.

I like your implementation of Mike Stenhouse's CSS Framework. I was wondering if I could tweak it a little and contribute it to a Rails project that I'm currently using?

I think it would fit in nicely. I thought I'd check first, to make sure I wasn't violating any license terms, or even worse, ticking anyone off.

Test this page in IE and Firefox.
This was a problem for me to display a t:tree2 in IE, so i deleted the text-align attribute in my css.

CSS Menu Overlaps

Have any of you guys ever had a problem where a menu's drop down overlaps into another just below it (this happens when you start increasing top level parent menus till it reaches a point when the menus start wrapping).

ul#primary-nav li.menubar ul{z-index:1; }
works for Firefox but I am unable to get it to work on IE7. Any ideas?

You should be able to drop it into your styles directory and then
refer to it in your web.xml to make it the default.

NOTE: Most of the themes that *aren't* included in AppFuse haven't
been certified to be compliant with AppFuse.

Yes, you'd simply need to change the LocaleFilter to store the theme
preference in the session instead of the ServletContext.

You could also look at the StylesheetSwitcher that's used in AppFuse Light.

Hi,

is it then possible to have users each using a different theme from the same app? where would you set it so that userA logs in and has themeA and userB logs in and has themeB?

You have to login as an administrator to change the theme. The logic

changing style on the fly

Hi:

I'm using appfuse 2.0M5 and have the problem changing stylesheet on the fly.

For example I'm using andreas01 as a default style and if I'll type http://localhost:8080/login.jsp?theme=puzzlewithstyle I still will see the old style rendered. I've tried to reload the page and run with exploded and war mode but no avail. I'd greatly appreciate if you'd be able to help me.

You should be able to change the following in layout.css to change the
body width:

div#page {
width: 780px;
margin: 0 auto;
padding: 0;
text-align: center;
}

Menus and images

Hello,

I am using simplicity presently for my application.....I have got a set of 4 menus....

I also display a JFreechart along with a display tag to the right of the jfreechart...my chart width is 500 X 300

When I display the page the entire menu dissapears....I was wondering if there is any way to increase the width of the body as I can see that there is a gap to the left and right of the menu...I want to use the entire browser page and not restrict to the width of the page...hope this makes sense ..

any pointers ?

I am using AppFuse 1.9.4, I found that the css template version of andreas01 in AppFuse 1.9.4 is version 1.0, I want layout 1col/2col/3col, but the version 1.0 's andreas01 css template not support 2col layout, but the version 2.0 support 2col layout; so is there has any plan merge andreas01 version 2.0.

You should be able to use text-align on one of the menu li's - something like:

#menuId li { text-align: center}

Hi people,

Wondering if you have any ideia how to center CSS based menus, depending on the number of menus. This need is due to various user roles with diferent number of menus available for each user type.

My style is based on simplicity and my menu displayer is "net.sf.navigator.displayer.CSSListMenuDisplayer" using the struts-menu-2.4.2
