Application names

With 2.29 development under way, now would be a good time to push
ahead with the application name cleanup that was discussed a while ago
on this list. To cite from Frederic's mail in that thread:

The guidelines are:

 - If Name is just the application name, leave it alone
 - If there is no GenericName, leave it alone
 - If Name == GenericName: remove GenericName
 - If Name embeds both the application name and the generic name
  - Add X-FullName, with what was in Name
  - Set Name to the application name only

To be clear, you say to use X-FullName and the linked doc says to use X-GNOME-FullName; which is the correct way?

Oh, good catch. X-GNOME-FullName is indeed what gnome-panel is looking for.
