Here's a picture of the BeagleBoard working. I hope I can get a real camera tomorrow, this one was taken with my cellphone http://twitpic.com/9ri9r . Re: Arch Linux on FreerunnerHey There,

Apparently HD capable: http://beagleboard.org/hardware It looks really cool! It'd be a great replacement for the crappy laptop mpd/backup/print server I have setup. |

Re: Arch Linux on FreerunnerGREAT!
I've a n800 , but i prefere to wait some more packages will become available :) On Thu, Jul 9, 2009 at 1:26 AM, Giovanni Scafora <giovanni@...>wrote: > Hi guys, > > I just noticed this project [1], It's awesome. :-) > What do you think about? > Cheers, > > [1] http://archmobile.org/trac/wiki/AFR > > -- > Arch Linux Developer > http://www.archlinux.org > http://www.archlinux.it > -- "Io oso fare tutto cio' che puo' essere degno di un uomo, chi osa di piu' non lo e'" http://blog.zamprogno.it http://riparazioni.zamprogno.it http://www.archlinux.it |

I only tried to play a 720p video, but the problem was the speed of the SD card so the framerate wasn't good. Maybe with arch+mplayer+patches it'll do better, because it has a DSP chip. But I don't plan to test it soon because my goal is to stream compressed video from a webcam via wi-fi, and I don't have a monitor to test on :P I'd highly recommend this piece of hardware, it's cheap, has audio in/out, a powerful processor, HDMI/S-Video connector and a mini-usb port. I'm looking for the perfect personal organizer (linux with extensive userland so I can run/do everything I want, good keyboard etc) that can also function as a phone. (see http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=75385 ) I'm not afraid of hacking a bit myself but in the end I want reliable phone-features as well. I would really appreciate your input. thanks Dieter |

Good look with this :) -- mitoyarzun http://www.archlinux.cl/ |

The n97 has an ARM cpu, so all my questions remain, only s/n800/n97 :) Dieter |

> Well, the N800 isn't a mobile phone, it's like a sub-sub-netbook :P I presume this will work on the N810 ? I read the 'Install instructions' but they seem to be for the openmoko any ideas on where the to find instructions for the N810? -- Regards Peter Cannon IRC: dick_turpin@... http://identi.ca/dickturpin http://www.cannon-linux.co.uk http://www.archlinux.org.uk http://www.archlinux.me/dick_turpin |
