Hi ,
I am new to archiva ,I have given maven repo as the proxy connector Will archiva repo connect maven central repo and retreive the artifacts which is not in archiva repository?

Yep - that's the basic concept. But it will only pull down stuff that
you need (rather than mirror the entire thing).
