Ardour DownloadHi there,
I really like the notice on the ardour website where one gets an option of paying for the download, with suggested pricing and comparison pricing. I think I have a suggestion that might present a more accurate picture of how many people download ardour for free. Right now there is no button to push stating that someone is a subscriber, choosing to pay monthly rather than for each download. If nobody is tracking this information, then nothing needs to be done. But, if someone is tracking the number of free downloads, then I've just upset the count as I have a subscription and chose not to make an additional payment for my download at this time. I hope this is helpful. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. Cheers.... -- Kevin _______________________________________________ Ardour-Users mailing list ardour-users@... http://lists.ardour.org/listinfo.cgi/ardour-users-ardour.org |

This would be difficult to accurately track due to distributions hosting source and binary packages of ardour. -- Matt Zagrabelny - mzagrabe@... - (218) 726 8844 University of Minnesota Duluth Information Technology Systems & Services PGP key 1024D/84E22DA2 2005-11-07 Fingerprint: 78F9 18B3 EF58 56F5 FC85 C5CA 53E7 887F 84E2 2DA2 He is not a fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. -Jim Elliot _______________________________________________ Ardour-Users mailing list ardour-users@... http://lists.ardour.org/listinfo.cgi/ardour-users-ardour.org |
