Artifactory not cleaning up old backups

I've got Artifactory 2.0.6 configured with the default backup settings (file backups, 7 day retention, no zip, non-incremental).  However I still have all the backups its ever made.  Is there something in the logs that would indicate a failure to delete an old backup?

If for some reason a problem was encountered during backup we will retain the older backups and will not clean them up automatically. This is most likely what happened in the case of your backup (it could happen due to file system permissions, for example).
In the upcoming release we issue a warning message at the end of the backup informing that "Old backups will not be auto-removed". In 2.0.6, however, you need to examine the log of the backup for exceptions to determine this.
