Artifacts have got lost after tomcat restart

My artifactory is connected to the Derby database and I had uploaded more than 1000 artifacts.
Now after tomcat restart I see that the UI is showing 38 artifacts only.
Please reply about how can I solve this issue ?

It is unlikely that a simple restart would make artifacts vanish, or we would have gotten many reports like this before -
Can you still see in the UI the repository that should have contained the artifacts?
Can you check in the "access.log" that no one removed the artifacts you are missing?
Are there any errors in the "artifactory.log" file?

Just figured out that my artifactory started dumping logs and backups in a different file location(C:\Documents And Settings\XYZ\.artifactory) from where it was originally working(C:\.artifactory) in our file system.

Can I make the artifactory point to the original location. In that case I think I will back my artifacts.

What say ?

Ok, that explains it.
Simply point the ARTIFACTORY_HOME env variable to the correct location (c:/.artifactory), or start the Artifactory VM with -Dartifactory.home=c:/.artifactory.
