Assigning keystrokes to the pad in xorg 1.7 and duplicate devices.

Hello,

I've upgraded my xorg and after a bit of patching installed linuxwacom
0.8.4-3. Everything works great with the stylus and the eraser,
however the pad is misbehaving. it is detected fine, shows up in
xidump, reacts to presses, but I can't get it to do keypresses. it
does mouse clicks fine (albeit only when the stylus isn't interfering
and far from the tablet, previously it worked independently), but if I
assign a letter or any keyboard key for that matter (both with
xsetwacom and wacomcpl), it does nothing.

Is it a xorg 1.7 issue/linuxwacom incompatibility atm, or can I solve
this somehow by myself?

Also, possibly due to the xorg 1.7 core support for the wacoms and/or
plug and play, I get duplicates of each device like this:

[aidenn@intruder ~]$ xidump -l
stylus                         extension
eraser                         extension
cursor                         extension
pad                            extension
Wacom Intuos3 6x8              extension
Wacom Intuos3 6x8 touch        extension
Wacom Intuos3 6x8 pad          extension
Wacom Intuos3 6x8 cursor       extension
Wacom Intuos3 6x8 eraser       extension

The only ones that work however, are the ones on the top (these are
the ones defined in xorg.conf). Can I get rid of the autodetected
ones?

Keystroke is broken on Xorg 7.5 (X server 1.7).  We are working on it.

I get a similar behavior
linuxwacom 8.4-3
Centos 5.3
X Window System Version 7.1.1

Is this the same issue?

Should the wheel work the same as the mouse wheel if it generates mouse
button clicks? As I can't get it to work ...

Strip as the mouse wheel (buttons 4 and 5, to which it is bound by
default, I believe) works fine for me. Only keystrokes won't.

Sorry for weird formatting in advance, gmail mobile isn't robust
enough for proper trimming and quoting.
