Asus 900 EEEPC can't connect to access pointI have installed a Lenny system on an Asus EEEPC 900 and I have some
problems with the wireless connection. It works with a Linksys router, but I have to manually configure IP and DNS, it doesn't seem to talk to the DHCP. With another router (TP-Link TL-WR541G) I get this error: Connection failed: Could not contact the wireless access point Configuring the net manually (as per the other router) isn't a problem, but with this no change I make to the configuration seems to have any effect. Any help very much appreciated, thanks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@... with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmaster@... |

For troubleshooting, it's better to work with command line tools and the logfiles. Yes, it is wicd, I'll try from commandline. The weird thing is that now I'm back at home with my Linksys and the eeepc immediately connected via DHCP with no problems at all. Could it be an incompatibility with the TP-Link? It's quite a crappy router, but it works fine with my HP 6830s with a debian squeeze. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@... with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
