Attach Source Tool fails to installI've installed AttachSourceTool.py in my gramps plugin directory, but
Plugin Status shows "Fail: name 'register' is not defined". I'm using gramps version 3.1.1-1. Any suggestions? Doug, You'll have to be very careful with bleeding-edge code like this, as it hasn't been well tested, and requires you to be especially sensitive to the details. As our new Addon system evolves, this will be easier, put for now here are some updated instructions. This is a tool that will add a shared source to people that you select (everyone, or by selecting by a filter). These instructions are just for Gramps 3.1. First, delete those original files (the AttachSourceTool.gpr.py was just for Gramps 3.2 anyway). Now, get the file: http://gramps-addons.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gramps-addons/contrib/AttachSourceTool/AttachSourceTool.py and save it in your user plugins directory. If you then restart Gramps, you should find a Tool -> Attach Source. If you have further problems, please put a note in the bug tracker: http://www.gramps-project.org/bugs/ Thanks, and let me know if this works for you, -Doug > Doug > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day > trial. I've installed the new Attach Source Tool and on a quick trial it works very nicely on 3.1.1-1 with filtered selections of persons.
