Audio QuestionI have a question o nthe audio of Mister House. What I've read on the
website, there is one persons morning script which plays rooms=all and a wake up routine. After reading this a few times, I wasn't sure if MisterHouse is using whole house speakers to achieve this, or if it uses remote speakers on another computer. Does it support frontend / backend type of a system? What I plan on having is a bunch of these DT366's scattered thru my house. I'm very interested in this one. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370181076850&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.ca%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp3907.m38.l1313%26_nkw%3D370181076850%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1 It looks like it comes with some sort of a flavour of linux on it, and might be a good base system to start this. So what I envision is to push one of the four buttons on the console to activate the mic on that unit, allowing me to use the voice recognition to accomplish some command. Is this currently possible? Is MisterHouse able to control the speakers on remote computers in this fashion? Am I able to use push-to-talk in this way similar to ventrilo? Would a work around be to use ventrilo on the server and the tablets throughout the house and enable one of those buttons for the PTT? I'm sure I can redirect the output from the speakers to be the microphone. I currently have a ventrilo server setup on my home network for playing games with my friends, and I have a music bot that plays music in a channel. Anyways, I wasn't really clear on the whole audio portion yet. Thanks. -- -=/>Thom ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
