Senior Internal Auditor - London, International travel will be required

Role Description:

To support the internal audit manager by supporting the management of Change relationships and the delivery of the Internal Audit programme and provision of other internal services to ultimately improve the control environment and business performance.

Key Accountabilities

• To input in to and support delivery of the Change Annual Audit Plan either as audit lead or team member
• Track and manage the resolution of raised issues within the Change departments
• To ensure development of “deep” knowledge and relationships within the Change departments
• To develop team members knowledge and relationships and support the development of best practice for the Change audit team
• To identify and develop talent within the team
• To identify within the Change department areas that will improve their control environment and to work with the department in setting up action plans to achieve improvement.
• To manage workflow requirements and allocations within the Change team
• To assist with managing resources across the team to ensure flexibility to react to urgent requests/resourcing issues at short notice




JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Experience:

• Expert business knowledge of the Change functions and/or experience of Internal Audit
• Manage and improve other people’s performance
• Lead change and motivate others
• Identify changes the business that will affect the appropriateness of the Annual Audit Plan
• Manage relationships
• Use relevant technology
• Significant experience of programme/project delivery ideally in a management role
• Understanding of project management methodologies e.g. Prince 2, ideally qualified to Practitioner level
• Experience of non-IT transformational change programmes/projects including organisational design, process engineering etc.
• Significant audit or practitioner experience of change operations and service management and security.

• Has the confidence to influence relationships
• Is able to remain focused on priorities when dealing with conflicting demands
• Is prepared to take risks in introducing or responding to change

• Is confident in making decisions where there may not be an obvious answer
• Is able to recognise the wider implications of decisions and their potential impact
