Automating book publication

Not that we're actually doing it, but here are two approaches to consider:
#1: One is probably easier but depends on browsers and is probably a
little more brittle (e.g. automated checks browser updates may be a
problem)
use a tool like 'watir' (http://wtr.rubyforge.org) to script the whole
process, then start watir from the command line

#2: Use curl and some clever text processing (awk,grep,cut,sed,...) to
go through the correct HTTP calls to create the document.
search the mailing list archives for 'curl' to get started: you'll
find an example to 'log in' to daisy using curl.

Note that there are probably better tools out there, these are just
the ones I know.
