Hi Gossip people,

I just tried out Gossip for the first time ever (version 0.23, gotten
from Ubuntu Feisty). I've known about it forever. I'm somewhat ashamed
I'd never actually tried it before.

I'm especially impressed with the way you guys subclassed GtkTextView
to get an ichat/adium/kopete/google talk style without the cost of
embedding an entire web browser.

No need to reply; just thought you guys would appreciate some praise. :)

-Sean.

Oh, I'm still using 0.16. So I don't know how much has changed since
then. Damn Debian, I want Gnome 2.16 with latest Gossip! I really hope
Etch will be released soon so Sid gets out of freeze. :-)

You can pull Gossip 0.20 from experimental[1].  Most of the stalling in
the uploads is due to the Gtk+ >= 2.10 dependancy which is a non-trivial
transition distribution-wise.
Besides the Debian native dists, Sjoerd and I have frequently made
available Subversion (previously CVS) snapshots in the luon-exp[2] and
luon-sid[3] suites.  You are welcome to give these builds a try.

Regards,
Paul

P.S. Currently the Gossip SVN snapshot is located in luon-experimental
for the same reason it is in experimental in Debian.

2: deb http://luon.net/debian/ experimental main
3: deb http://luon.net/debian/ unstable main
