BBC iplayer and mvpmcHi All,
Firstly a huge 'thank you' to all those who've contributed to mvpmc. I recently purchased a Hauppage MVP (revision H4 flash based) and after an initial false start unsuccessfully trying to compile and use mvpvdr I was delighted when I finally got mvpmc working! It works well except for the previously discussed issues with VLC segfaults and some (I think expected) problems with complex vob streams. I've set it up to work with my DNS323 NAS using fonz fun plug and am very satisfied (email me if you are interested in details). Next I hope to extend the functionality even further by adding support for BBC iplayer TV and radio streams somehow. My initial thought is that this could be done on the NFS mounted server by using FUSE and the get_iplayer script to write an iplayerFS! Does anyone have any thoughts? Do you agree that it might just be crazy enough to work? Do you agree that it might just be crazy enough to work? It wouldn't hurt to try, fuse is available on mvpmc right now. On the other hand, mvpvdr does provide a BBC iplayer interface too, getting it to compile and accessing it via emulation mode would seem like a lot less work.
