BUGS 2 - beta 4 released!

Everyone!

Tonight we released our latest and final beta version - codenamed
"Yasmine". This is the final beta release in the BUGS 2.0 schedule, and
brings the last round of polish, update and features.
The release was unfortunately delayed by several weeks because of
rewrites in major parts of the system, but fear not - we've completed it!

Long story short - download it here:
https://sourceforge.net/project/platformdownload.php?group_id=89533

So what does this release bring? What has happened since the last release?

 * Better module management
We have made some huge improvements to the module configuration section.
You can now write your own modules, then install/uninstall and configure
them directly from the module configuration interface.

 * Big improvements in the BUGS 2 architecture
We have made some big improvements in the underlying BUGS 2
architecture, introducing a trigger system which will make writing
modules easier. We had something in place for that earlier, but it
wasn't as elegant as we'd like. More documentation on this is coming,
but this forced us to move a lot of the module stuff to the new
architecture. This was the number one reason we had to delay the beta 4
release.

 * New themes
Eye-candy is always nice, and sometimes it brings a bit of "freshness".
The new default icon theme in BUGS 2 has a more "polished" look than the
one we are currently using. The new default theme is using icons from
the Oxygen icon set, primarily known from KDE 4.

 * More help
We have moved the help files out into the translated folders, which
makes all the help sections translatable. We haven't finished all the
help sections yet, but they will come with the release of the RCs.

 * Importing data from BUGS 1.9
You can now import data from your existing BUGS 1.9 installation (1.9 is
the only supported version for importing). This should be done
immediately after installing BUGS 2, if you want to import, since it
will automatically overwrite existing products, users and issues. If you
need this feature - please test it and report back bugs!

 * The usual round of bug- and security fixes
The last beta release was far from bug-free, and even a major bug in the
installer got through into the beta release. We think we've managed to
find all the showstopper bugs for this beta release, so it should
install and behave properly. Of course - bugs may still exist, but it
should take more effort to find them this time.

As you can see, it's a long list, and it took much longer to get this
beta release out the door than we wanted. Our online bug-tracker is
currently offline for maintenance, as we will be upgrading it to beta 4
later tonight. Unfortunately, we cannot migrate the data we had in beta
3 so far over to this beta, which means that you will have to
re-register if you previously registered with our online bug tracker. We
apoligise for the inconvenience.

Please test this release thoroughly - no reported bugs means that this
will be the Release Candidate.
