Background and Rox

Can someone explain how I can get nitrogen (my usual background or wallpaper handler) to work with rox? I have tried running nitrogen before and after rox but it doesn't seem to have any effect. But as soon as nitrogen loads the wallpaper, rox runs and overlays it with that blah grey background.
