Hey guys,

I like banshee a lot and I'd like to install the new version!
But how can I install it on fedora 11? I only see the packages for Fedora development

Grtz,
Milan

1.5.1 will be pushed once it proves stable in development. Till then you can use yum --enablerepo=rawhide install banshee (I think it's rawhide.. if not development.. I keep forgetting). This will pull in the required packages from development.

It works.
But be careful using the rawhide version, that is almost broken.
See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=526132 and comment #5 for
a workaround.

I would like to add, if you do not know how to configure your system
inside out with CLI tools, **DO NOT** **DO NOT** **DO NOT** **DO NOT**
(I cannot add how many needed to get my point across) use Rawhide. Don't
do it. It breaks all the time. Wait until it gets pushed, which is when
it's proven stable.

There is a saying, and that is that "Rawhide kills babies". I didn't
believe it until I tried.
