	Base URL - Does this only affect URLS in outgoing emails? by forums-5 :: Rate this Message: Reply to Author \| View Threaded \| Show Only this Message I want to change the Base URL in the Administration->General Configurations, so that the URL in emails for links to JIRA issues contains this URL. That is what I understand that this configuration is used for. The documentation says the following to confirm this. Base URL - This is the base URL of this JIRA installation.It is used in outgoing email notifications as the prefix for links to JIRA issues. My question is does the Base URL get used anywhere else in the JIRA code for determining URLS besides in the generation of these emails? We are setting up https in a way not documented by Atlassian (using a F5 with the cert on the F5 and non-SSL communication between the F5 and Apache and then to Tomcat). For example, the icon urls (issue type icon, priority, etc..) would use the base url to determine where to get the image files when queried from SOAP/XMLRPC web services. I am sure there are more places for things such as hyper links etc... We have two domains that we authenticate over LDAP and email and base URL is set to one of them obviously. So, the peoson who receives the email from teh other domain, he needs to click cancel several times for the authentication pop-up to view the email. Any suggestions about how to fix this?
