Best way to enable voting

Still working on the profile for collaborative terminology.

Each term, say, “navigateur web” is represented by a page, whose name is the term. The page provides definition, domain, etc… and includes a list of synonyms.

I want to allow folks to vote on which of the synonyms is the “best”.

There seems to be several ways to do this. For example:

Polls:

And Votes

What would people recommend I use?

It seems to me that Poll is what I want, cause it’s the simplest of the three and it seems to be suffient for what I need (single question, no extra fields). But I’m not sure if there is a sufficiently powerful plugin to support what I want.

Ideally, what I would want is that users could write something like this in a wiki page:

{poll question=”Vote on the best synonym” alternatives=“navigateur web|fureteur web”,}

This would display something like this:

 Vote on the best synonym

    _ navigateur web (most popular, 10 votes)

    _ fureteur web (8 votes)

---

Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
