Better Organization

Picard is really nice software.  The problems I have though are the codecs and duplicates.  There ought to be a way to convert all the songs that are a different codec to a given codec, like all these FLACs to MP3.  Then the lowest quality duplicates should be deleted.  Anyone up for helping write a plugin?

Picard is far from an audio encoding application and it would be
completely out of the scope of the program. You would be better and
easier off using a dedicated audio encoding tool and/or develop a plugin
for that if required.
...or just get foobar2000 to filter all your lossless encoded audio,
select and re-encode.

That's why I mentioned developing a plugin.  It probably wouldn't be a huge undertaking with FFMpeg.
