Blend modes

Has there been any progress in incorporating the following two list
posts into cairo main?

Having a full range of blend modes and filters would make cairo a full
fledged 2D graphics library. So we can have even more fun!

As a work around I have tried using GEGL(www.gegl.org/) but have yet
to get it working since setting up a GNU build env on Win32 is super
hard (wel actually just autoconf/m4/etc.).
