Bombus MuddleHello,
This Bombus picture confused me (got in a right muddle) at first. The Queen had a white tail with slight V-shaped black markings a lemon-coloured band, and an orange band near its head. Images on: http://www.glaucus.org.uk/BBeeID.html What do you make of these pictures? What species? (a sort of test) I think my first choice was right in the end. Cheers Andy Horton glaucus@... Re: Bombus MuddleHeelo Mike,
Thanks a lot for your reply. You are a genius. At least how it seems to me from just a photograph. I might be able to do the same with seashore life, if anybody needs an ID, but I am not so good with flying arthropods. They rarely keep still for a start! More bumblebees at: http://www.glaucus.org.uk/BBeeID.html#IDx6 I am going through a series of self doubt over bumblebees.
