Bootsplash with Intel 815 chipsetHello,

However TS 3 will use usplash and these worries will be gone. You just have to wait ~8-12 months... >From memory, it involves using the intel framebuffer and having some very specific kernel parameters. I'm not sure, but I think it required a kernel recompile as well..... Oh yes, I think you are right. Completely forgot. I realized 2.4 is using usplas. If I remember correctly (this time...) usplash doesn't require any kernel hacking so in that respect it is simpler than the current splash. Is it worth putting usplash on 2.2.3?
