Box set / release group issue

A release that I've been working on for the past couple of days has
thrown me for a loop.  It's a two-disc Mozart set(0) where the discs
contain:

Disc 1: Exsultate, jubilate K.165, Coronation mass K.317, Litaniae
Lauretanae K.195
Disc 2: Requiem K.626

When I went looking for disc one yesterday, I searched based on the
requiem, since that was most likely to be in the title (others have
alternate names, and spine title says "Requiem, etc.").  Not finding
it, I started a new release(1).

Today, while working on some ARs this release, I found it actually was
*already* in the database(2), right down to the ASIN and release event
info.  Problem was, it was missing "Requiem" from the release title and
release group title.  So, I canceled a mass of edits.  Then I edited
the titles to add "Requiem".  On further review, the release group(3)
did not contain disc 2.  Digging further, I found disc 2 is in the
database(4), but only as a release event on an earlier individual
release of the Requiem.

I've considered adding a next-disc AR, or at least annotating disc 1,
but that doesn't solve the problems with the release group.  If my
edits pass and nothing else changes, there will be release group and
release titles with "Requiem, K. 626", but no releases in the group
that actually contain the Requiem.  And a release title with "(disc 1)"
but no disc 2 in the RG.

Suggestions on how to clean up this release/release group?

Since the first disc of your Decca Double release has over 70 mins of
music, I would not be surprised to see that it is the first coupling of
those particular recordings. The disc might be a rerelease with just a
filler.

 From reading http://musicbrainz.org/doc/What_Defines_A_Unique_Release ,
I think it is pretty safe to
1) Add a duplicate the Requiem to the RG of disc 1, add 028944300925 for
this. Add a "is-a-later-release-of" AR to the original
2) remove 028944300925 from the existing Requiem release

More than likely, since they were recorded five years apart. :)

Sounds good, thanks.  Luckily, the discid for my disc 2 isn't tied to
the existing release, so I won't have to deal with that.
