Brief TAG on WebSocket protocol/API and related activitiesHello,
With respect to [ACTION-301], I have written a quick introduction to the IETF HyBi activity and the WebSocket protocol and API. It's currently at http://jkemp.net/tag/hybi.html. The references list gives more detailed information about these activities, and is the work upon which I've based this document (any mistakes in transcription are mine). Cheers, - johnk [ACTION-301] http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/group/track/actions/301 |

Re: Brief TAG on WebSocket protocol/API and related activitiesThank you John, would you mind posting a copy on the W3C's web site. You
can use CVS to check it in, or if you really prefer, email it to the W3C archive mailing list, which will cause it to get a (somewhat clumsy looking) URI. Since documents like this will be subjects of discussion linked from our minutes and agendas, I think it's most appropriate to have them checked in where W3C can take responsibility for their long-term availability. I think that putting them up at W3C might conceivably clarify any hesitancies that some might have regarding copyright or other IP issues relating to this work. Once you've done that, I will link the W3C copy from the agenda for the F2F. Thank you. Re: Brief TAG on WebSocket protocol/API and related activitiesThere's also a useful Internet Draft which covers some similar material:

I'd claim that I haven't written anything new - just attempt to collect some resources in one place.
