Bug #1754Is this a feature that the Clamav Community could use?
Or am I wasting my time? Thanks -- Sincerely, Nathan Gibbs Systems Administrator Christ Media http://www.cmpublishers.com _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://www.clamav.net/support/ml |

Back then "easily" would have been more % variables in the config. I wished I'd had it then, would still like it now, although I personally don't need any of it. The External events where not much use to me then. for years all my External events where uanme|mail -s "appropriate subject [ %v if supported ]" noc@... When we implemented a clamd monitoring script that bounced a test signature off our clamds, the email hit the fan. It was sugested to me to use a more advanced virusEvent script to mitigate this . In the process of building that, it occurred to me that one script to handle all the external events would be nice. I think Thomasz and myself have the same view mainly, "Why should my code do more work when his can do it?" I understand Thomasz concern about "reimplementing the wheel." However, one wheel implemented correctly, & available for everyone to use, is better than all of us implementing our own wheels, & making the same mistakes inifnitely. Basically I want easier access to what clamav already has under the hood. -- Sincerely, Nathan Gibbs Systems Administrator Christ Media http://www.cmpublishers.com _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://www.clamav.net/support/ml |
