Hi,

kde-icons-kneu depends on kdebase without any need as one can very well use
icons without kdebase :-)

kde-icons-crystal kde-icons-crystalproject  kde-icons-nuovext kde-icons-nuvola
all only recommend kdebase, but actually I think thats a bug too. And for
example tango-icon-theme doesn't recommend anything.

I guess I'll file bugs against those packages too :-)

        This is a duplicate of #440913 which even contains a patch
and AFAIK will get a few more patches fixing lintian warning and
improving the quality of the package from the same guy who provided
the patch for #440913.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that once the fixed package is
upload some other lintian warnings will be fixed as well. Or, is there (or
will there be) a lintian warning against icon packages depending/recommending
desktop environments?

P.S.: regarding the severity: I consider it quite a drawback on the
functionalita of this package if its not installable without kde, thus I
think the bug is not minor, but normal. I also agree that it's pointless to
waste much time on a severity discussion, when the fix is around the
corner :-)

        I'm saying that the same guy who provided the control patch
for #440913 is also working on the package, he is working on patches
for already existing lintian warning (like problems with copyright,
changelog, updating policy).

        After that, I do hope Andre (which is the primary maintainer
for this package) manifest his intention to apply the patches,
otherwise, since it is under Debian-BR-Team umbrella, I will apply
the patches and upload the package.

        I also agree that it's pointless to waste much time on the
severity with the patch available and the upload planned, but I
will not change the priority yet again (like you just did). :-)
