Bug#554192: [cups] Cups prints 9 pages per sheet when 1 page per sheet (default) is wanted.Package: cups
Version: 1.4.1-5 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. --- I installed an Brother HL-2035 USB printer using system-config-printer and it worked fine, because I had a PPD file that had proven to work. Now, I was surprised to see that only one ninth of the page was filled. Further testing let me learn that - if I print a document of several pages, actually 9 pages are printed per sheet. - if I choose to print 2 pages per sheet, 2 pages per sheet are printed. Strange, isn't it? I printed from kwrite, text files with lpr, and also kpdf. --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-5.slh.1-sidux-686 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 unstable www.debian-multimedia.org 500 unstable ftp.us.debian.org 500 unstable ftp.spline.de --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ====================================-+-================ libavahi-client3 (>= 0.6.16) | 0.6.25-1 libavahi-common3 (>= 0.6.16) | 0.6.25-1 libc6 (>= 2.7) | 2.10.1-3 libcups2 (>= 1.4.0) | 1.4.1-5 libcupscgi1 (>= 1.4.0) | 1.4.1-5 libcupsdriver1 (>= 1.4.0) | 1.4.1-5 libcupsimage2 (>= 1.4.0) | 1.4.1-5 libcupsmime1 (>= 1.4.0) | 1.4.1-5 libcupsppdc1 (>= 1.4.0) | 1.4.1-5 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2) | 1.2.16-2 libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) | 1:4.4.2-2 libgnutls26 (>= 2.7.14-0) | 2.8.4-2 libgssapi-krb5-2 (>= 1.6.dfsg.2) | 1.7dfsg~beta3-1 libijs-0.35 | 0.35-7 libkrb5-3 (>= 1.6.dfsg.2) | 1.7dfsg~beta3-1 libldap-2.4-2 (>= 2.4.7) | 2.4.17-2 libpam0g (>= 0.99.7.1) | 1.1.0-4 libpaper1 | 1.1.23+nmu1 libpoppler4 | 0.10.6-1 libslp1 | 1.2.1-7.6 libstdc++6 (>= 4.1.1) | 4.4.2-2 libusb-0.1-4 (>= 2:0.1.12) | 2:0.1.12-13 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-15 debconf (>= 1.2.9) | 1.5.28 OR debconf-2.0 | poppler-utils | 0.12.0-2 OR xpdf-utils | perl-modules | 5.10.1-6 procps | 1:3.2.8-2 ghostscript | 8.70~dfsg-2 lsb-base (>= 3) | 3.2-23 cups-common (>= 1.4.1) | 1.4.1-5 cups-client (>= 1.4.1-5) | 1.4.1-5 ssl-cert (>= 1.0.11) | 1.0.24 adduser | 3.111 bc | 1.06.95-2 ttf-freefont | 20090104-4 Recommends (Version) | Installed =====================================-+-=========== foomatic-filters (>= 4.0) | 4.0-20090509-1 cups-driver-gutenprint | 5.2.4-1 ghostscript-cups | 8.70~dfsg-2 Suggests (Version) | Installed =======================================-+-=========== cups-bsd | 1.4.1-5 cups-ppdc | 1.4.1-5 foomatic-db-engine | 4.0-20090509-2 foomatic-db | 20090616-1 hplip | 3.9.8-1 xpdf-korean | OR xpdf-japanese | OR xpdf-chinese-traditional | OR xpdf-chinese-simplified | cups-pdf | 2.5.0-11 smbclient (>= 3.0.9) | 2:3.4.3-1 udev | 146-6 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-printing-request@... with a subject of "unsubscribe".
