Bug related to shutdown in ubuntu 9.10

hello,

Recently i have updated my laptop from  ubuntu 9.04 version to ubuntu 9.10. Now i am not able shutdown my laptop. i am always getting a message in shutdown screen by saying I/O failure at loop0 with some numbers. i cant report the bug directly from my system bcoz i am getting this message during shutdown process.
