<br><br>The "mail" program on linux isn't the same as the "sendmail" system used by
<br>bugzilla. "mail" is simply a mail client in the same sense as Outlook
<br>express or Thunderbird, while sendmail is an interface to the postfix daemon
<br>which implements smtp functionalities.
<br><br>You should first check that the postfix daemon is running on your machine.
<br>To do that, try

<br>getting any emails), then you can start it using

<br><br>That sounds like a plan :-) If you want to do it with no downtime, clone
<br>the database and use that clone on your new copy while you reapply and
<br>test the modifications. When you are ready, change the new copy to use
<br>the production database, run the upgrade script again, and move the new
<br>code to where the old stuff was so that URLs still work.
