Building Mac OS X version on Linux?

I have been wondering if it is possible to build OpenOffice.org Mac OS X
version on the Linux platform? By using a cross compiler. Has anyone tried
anything like this before or is this just something that is impossible to
do?

Hi Kristjan,

cross compiling OOo is not easy. Even cross compiling for the same OS
and a different arch is difficult. A while ago I did manage to build OOo
for Linux/ARM on a Linux/x64 box in a reasonable amount of time. It took
a me a while to get that running, and I was not able to achieve that
without emulating the hardware. Especially in the early phase of the
build some tools and other stuff gets compiled which is later on needed
for building again - this makes it hard to avoid any emulation. If there
is something as the userland qemu for Mac OS X binaries, you may want to
apply my approach (http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/entry/arm_again).

Regards
