Building ORBit2 on HP-UX 11.23

Hello

I need libgnome-2.0 and libgnomeui-2.0 libraries for HP UX Itanium box.
These libraries in turn depend on ORBit2. But while building ORBit2, I'm
getting lots of errors, when I give the make command. So, I've been
making changes to ORBit code - basically, commenting out the code which
is causing problems. The errors I get are similar to following:


orbit-object.c:8: error: multiple storage classes in declaration
specifiers
orbit-object.c:8: error: storage class specified for parameter
'alive_root_objects'
orbit-object.c:8: error: expected ';', ',' or ')' before '=' token
*** Error exit code 1

So, my question is if anybody has successfully built ORBit2 on HP-UX
11.23. Any suggestions regarding building ORBit will be helpful.

I can't help you with your HP-UX problems, but please remember *not* to
use 2.14.3. It has a bug that disables all non-local IPv4 communication.
Use 2.14.2 or CVS HEAD.
