Building from CVS

FYI: I'm on windows and did a checkout from CVS yesterday (6/19/07).

I created the build.properties file as described in ReadmeFIRST.txt.

I set the environment variables JAVA_HOME and MAVEN_HOME.

Then it says to type the command "configure".

Is this used to create build.properties or to actually do something based upon build.properties?  Where is the "configure" executable supposed to be coming from (what needs to be added to the path to run this command)?  The only thing I can find is something in Octopus-src/modules/Configure.  Is this what it's referring to?

Next it says to issue the command "make".  Again, what executable is this supposed to be running?  The only "make" I see is a directory in Octopus-src\util which includes some installation helpers.  Is there another utility dependency that isn't stated?

I'm stuck with the bug I reported yesterday until I can get this to build or until someone else can fix the problem.
