Building the latest rubygems into a debian package

Hello All,

I am a complete newbie and I am trying to build the latest rubygems package (rubygems 1.3.4) into a debian package. Has anybody tried to do something similar? Any help would be appreciated.

rubygems 1.3.4 is in debian unstable already.
