CF opportunity in RTP, NC--long term contract

Disclaimer--This is my first posting.  I hope that I am using this group correctly.
We currently have an opening for a year long contract in RTP, NC.
Sr. Web Developer

 *   2 plus years of experience with Cold Fusion (Minimum of one year MX preferred)
 *   2 plus years experience with Java Scripting required.
 *   3 plus years general website development required.
 *   Experience with DHTML/CSS required
 *   Experience with JBOSS, Tomcat or Websphere experience required
 *   Familiarity with CVS or other Source Code repository required
 *   Understanding and working with Oracle relational databases is required
 Experience in development of web applications that interface and interact with a Java-based middle-tier environment highly desired

 *   Experience in an object-oriented architecture highly desired
 *   Knowledge of Perl highly desired
 *   Experience with PL/SQL, specifically reference cursors, highly desired.
 *   One plus years of package and procedure development using PL/SQL highly desired
 Experience with AJAX a plus

 *   Experience with Flash Programming a plus.
 *   Experience with PHP a significant plus.
 Proven ability to create web interfaces and sites using the technologies listed above.

 *   Develop specifications and designs for projects
 *   Excellent written and oral communication skills
 *   Ability to refocus priorities and schedules to meet changing business requirements
 *   Ability to work effectively in a team setting with staff, vendors, and users
 *   Four-year or advanced degree in a technical field

Actually, you are posting on CF-Jobs-Talk. That's for discussion about
jobs and the job market. CF-Jobs would be a better pick of where to post
(more people looking there as well).

We (by we, I mean me and by my perception, I think most everyone else
agrees) don't MIND it being posted here (as long as it overposted), but
if you keep doing it wrong, you may upset some people. :)

As a side note, you may want to explain what RTP is as this is a
national (international?) list. Also, I'm presuming telecommuting is not
an option (Why I have no idea, but to each their own). You may want to
make it clear in future posts if it is an option or not.

Whereas cf-jobs-talk@... is the cf-jobs-talk address,
cf-jobs@... is the jobs list.

Mind if I ask why? Several qualified people are around to service a
companies needs, but with the economy the way it is, you might not find
someone willing to move out to where the job is. I know me personally, I
moved to Las Vegas for a great job, but office politics got in the way
(my own boss didn't want to let me go) and after 2 months, I was let go
with nothing except a year lease that I had got and just managed to
furnish said apartment (Craigslist was a godsend to clear it all out).

Is managing people in person that important that you will only take from
a small pool of qualified applicants (who no doubt know they are in
demand by you, so they inflate the prices or you pick up someone who is
just starting to learn on the cheap and fix the issues as their mistakes
crop up)?

Telecommuting can be managed well and hopefully, you can find someone
who doesn't need much management. It also means you don't have to use up
space/equipment/etc. for them being there or relocate them.

Just pointing out some things that have been discussed on this list. You
may want to consider them and if you have the authority, try to get the
office environment more "earth friendly" (less gas to and from work).
