I am afraid some people are making a gang against Kiran Bedi who is the best candidate for CIC.The may be the same who opposed her to be police while the most powerful person of Nation was a lady Sonia Gandhi. Kiran Bedi was not allowed to join as Directer Vigilance MCD Delhi inspite of orers. Corrupts are most           powerful in INDIA.

Babudom is most fearful besides the politicians. Kiran Bedi is my choice also but we should also put forth some more names so that govt is pressurised. And discussions in good earnest is always better.

and wrong as wrong. Kiran Bedi slams the
authorities instantly and therefore is not in
good books of  appointing authorities. Its
babudom which has made most learned people as

Dear Sanjeev,

I include Mrs Kiran Bedi in my private list of 'haraamis'.

As people want to know what my defn. / concept of 'haraami' is:-

"A wicked person, someone who lives on earnings / sufferings
of others and usually acts as a go-between or 'dullaa'

There is a simple litmus test for 'haraami-pan': What is the person's (so called RTI activist's) source of income. I can truthfully say that I earn my living from the sweat of my brow and toil of my shoulders and I don't need to beg for / accept even a single naya paise (or cent, penny, kopeck, etc) to carry out my social activities - and I never have. How many of these other people can make such a claim ?

I think it will be excellent not to have Kiran Bedi as CIC because of  
her track record. For example, she used the NE quota to get her  
daughter into medical school,(she was posted there for app. 19  
months), her posting in New York for fund raising and her work in  
government for funds from a range of non-Indian donors. Personally I  
also see receiving a Magasaysay as a government officer quite strange,  
especially because she got it in part for her Tihar work.

I see this as an abuse of government power and in no way worthy of a  
position as important as the CIC. We should really not campaign for  
her. My choice is for ensuring that whoever comes into the post must  
deliver and be accountable to the public at large, regardless of who  
it is.

I do not understand why people facinate for a spotless person. Even God "bhee dudh ka dhula huya nahi hai". We have to find the most fit person to suit the job. And it is not necessary that only beggers or the poor are good and have the right to do social work. I cannot judge from my angle(I am also bachelor and do social work spending from my pocket; and do not accummulate any wealth or property. Do not even have a bank account).
Pls suggest names with a earnest discussion, instead of negative criticism or splitting the hair.
