CVS Instalaltion problems

Hello,

I have installed the cvs-1.11.23 package on HP-UX 11.31 -

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Development/Tools/cvs-1.11.23/

Additionally the zlib package.

I am not quite sure if it is a client or server version ?

Regarding the installtion steps, I have set the path

But what are the next steps ?

No one of the commands in the installation guide works

Where do I find the configure script/program?

CVS initialisation fails

Is there anything to compile?

A lot of questions . Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

 Best regards

Then I suggest you contact them for help ;)

The HP ITRC forums often have people who know about those builds:

It sounds a little like you don't know much about CVS.  Please spend
some money on a good book, and spend some time reading it.  I can
recommend 'Essential CVS' which I didn't write, and 'All About CVS'
which I did have a hand in writing (but that is mostly about CVSNT,
which despite the name does run on HPUX).
