Thanks Guys for the mention on the most recent podcast. just happened to be listening to it as I was crossing the one repaired section of the tram tracks in Manchester to Piccadilly station and almost went under the front wheels of an indescribably large 4x4.

I have replied to the Polldaddy poll. I picked the first one. Count me in, as being involved sounds as amazing.

Hi there Paul, Mike and Andrew.

To start, let me tell you that I don't like ipods. Loathe them. Designer and a little wanky. No, I'm more your Creative, your Sandisk, your iRiver kind of a guy.

The only problem with this is that you can't rely on itunes as a podcatcher if you don't use an ipod. I am using juice now since I sent back the Creative Zen - bloody thing suffers from something called "whitescreen" which is a major flaw - and now I have a Sandisk sansa which is totally topness. Only 4GB but as I am in front of my comuter every day getting to my music is a doddle. Anyway, Juice is great but when Windows Media player picks up the info for Cadmium2 it comes in as something in the uncategorized department.

Episode 29, for example came in without any info at all. It was just called 029. I had to fettle with it myself to make it organisable. Is this something you guys can do at the podcasting stage? you know, put in metadata that Windows Media can pick up and keep them organised?

Just a thought for us heathens out here.
Gary Noden

Hmm, when they aren't looking copy the 2 DNS addresses from a computer that works for facebook into the tcip settings on your work computer.

It's rather hypocritical, but I had to set up the blocker at my work so my staff wouldn't spend all day on facebook.

Usually when you type in the webpage address on your comp the router will look up it's ip address and connect it up for you. So they set the router usually to block certian sites by using a third party DNS service. BUT if you type in the address of a DNS service on your computer then it should bypass the router's look-up service.

Oh God. The Doctor's Daughter was so fucking trite and predictable. Did anyone NOT see her coming back to life. Just another character to squeeze into the season finale. And have a series all of their own.

I also love the way all the publicity was "Shock, Horror. The Doctor has a daughter!" Well, no, actually he doesn't REALLY. And anyway, have we all forgotten Susan.

Don't make me sick into my own scorn.

Hmm. Seems like Season 4 has produced its first turkey (for me anyway)...

Looking forward to saturday though. As a lifelong Christie fan (with every book she ever wrote) I'm quite keen to see how many in-jokes Gareth Roberts can squeeze into 45 minutes that only fellow Christie fans will get!
Paul

How much of that was setting up for a new series for CBBC, d'ya think? Oh, I reckon about all of it.

Catherine Tate's Donna is getting stronger, Martha is hopefully gone and David Tennant's quif is about to out act him - despite a wonderful return of the upset he showed when The Master died in - dare I mention it - "The Last of the Timelords." But this Jenny character has that, excuse me, spunky, quirky kick ass girl thing going on a little too much for it not to be screaming out teenage role model. Quick!
I like the phrase "What Paul calls New Doctor Who". I think you'll find that is what Phil Collinson calls it too. If it's good enough for the producer of New Doctor Who, then it's good enough for me (although I may be doing this just to wind you up of course...)
Paul
