All the patches will be included in the new release. As for the old mails here are the options:

you often do this: rewrite files or add files to an existing version of Campsite.

What is the general stance people should take regarding this? Shall everyone update their files? Do you keep tag of these changes somewhere and are they all added to the next release of Campsite so that everyone gets them for sure? Or how is this handled?

I suggest to do a test: install the site on a test system running Campsite
3.3.2 and do an upgrade. If any issue should arise you can see it on the
test system. Although 3.3.3 is just bug fix version, there are no API,
structural, database or requirements changes but you should run the test
upgrade just to make sure.

Hi Terix,

1- Backup your current site files and data. Use campsite-backup to do it.

2- Download and unpack 3.3.3

3- Stop Apache

4- Copy 3.3.3 files overwriting current 3.3.2 ones.

5- Make Apache user owner of files: chown -R www-data:www-data /your/path
(www-data is the apache user in Ubuntu installations, modify it if
necessary to fit your platform)

6- Start Apache

7- Open home page for your site, upgrading will take action at this
moment and that is it.

Another way to upgrade is:

1- Make a backup with campsite-backup

2- Remove all Campsite

3- Install 3.3.3

4- Restore backup with campsite-restore (use option -e)

Either work fine.

You should run this process in a time of low load for your site as you
need to stop the web server to avoid any upgrade failures. It will
take only a few minutes (depending on backup size).

i've made a try, but i can't figure why is not working... i've made a switch called "Box", checked it on a couple of articles and i have added that code to my template:

{{ list_articles length="1" constraints="Box is on" order="byPublishDate desc" }}

to show the last article that must go to the box, but the box is empty. If i take out the constraint, the last article is showed on the box.

Why it doesn't work?

I would understand that when we force by setting the language name to English that it would show the English articles from the specified issue and section, no matter what is the previous language of any article that the viewer has been looking. What goes wrong with this logic? How should we correct this?

Hi Stefano,

I'm glad you succeeded in installing Campsite, I posted your message on the support list also since this info may be of help to other users. Campsite needs a scheduler to run certain jobs regularly. Currently you can have 2 options:

1. manually schedule the campsite jobs in cron (ask your server admin to do that if possible)

2. Use Google cron (or from other sites if available). See:
http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/python/config/cron.html

You could create the following scripts:
a. indexer.php that runs the script campsite-indexer from [campsite_dir]/bin directory
b. autopublish.php that runs the script campsite-autopublish from [campsite_dir]/bin directory

Schedule the indexer script to run once every 6 hours and autopublish each minute. The URLs passed to Google cron should be:
a. http://site.com/indexer.php
b. http://site.com/autopublish.php

We'll try to implement this as an option in the campsite settings in a future version.

Please disable the notices in PHP and you'll see the image. Normally a live server should not have warnings and notices enabled.

I'll fix the problem so the image will load even with notices enabled in 3.3.4.

Holman can you please give me information obout this type errors:

Robert, you can use:

{{ if $campsite->article->audio != "" }}

or, you can also embed php function calls, like in:

{{ if strlen($campsite->article->audio) > 0 }}

... either of them will work for you.

popup.php file in campsiteimage plugin for TinyMCE.

Because of problems with images, which must be center positioned, I think that correct code in 73. line is:

Center

and not

Middle

I make this correction and now center positioning of images work OK.

I want to thank all of you, who wrote this excellent tool for media websites. These days I getting to know the logic of Campsite and I am impressed. Thank you all for work and time.
