Can't Send Calendar Info to LG Dare

I downloaded BitPim 1.0.6.
I'm using Windows Vista Home (32)
Phone: LG Dare (VX9700) -- software version VX970V06
I'm connected by the USB cable that came with the Dare.

I imported my calendar data from Google into BitPim just fine.  BitPim
detects my phone just fine AND pulled all my phonebook data from the
phone into BitPim.  But when I tried to send the calendar info to the
phone, nothing happened.  The phone turned on and off a couple of times
in the process, the bar at the bottom left of the computer screen first
seemed to show that BitPim was doing something, but then it stopped and
all it said by that lower lefthand bar was
"BitPim1.0.6/Lateset<Unknown>" and when I checked the phone, nothing had
been transferred.

Any suggestions?  I'd really rather use the calendar on the Dare than
Google's mobile calendar.  Thanks!

Do you have more than 300 entries in your calendar?  Are they older
than the current date?  The LG phones have a 300 item limit to the
calendar, and if you fill that up with events from a few months ago
the current events will not be there.  Scroll back a few months and
see what you find.

The solution is to either use the import filter (which may crash
bitpim in the version you have) to limit to new events only, or have
your google calendar purge older events, then re-export and import to
bitpim.

Using the filter (I also got rid of all my old events from 2008 and earlier in my Google calendar, but maybe I didn't need to!) worked!  Thank you so much!!!

Okay, I thought I had this solved, but it seems not.  It never works on the first try.  Each time, my phone shuts down service during the operation and all that happens is the calendar data already on the phone is wiped.  It usually takes several tries.  Today, I haven't been able to get it to work at all.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using bluetooth or the USB?  I just sync'd my wife's phone
last night via bluetooth and the current test release of bitpim no
problems.
